Charoite bracelet from Sakha Republic, Siberia.

Charoite is a magical and very mystical stone, only found in one place in the world. It forms from limestone in a common process called 'contact metamorphism'*. Due to this common process, many geologists finds it unclear, why this particular stone has such a limited distribution and that is why it is so mystical and rare today!

Some believe the name 'Charoite' comes from the Chara river, which flows only 70km away from the area, where this stone was first discovered back in 1940. But others do believe that the name comes from the word 'Chary', which in Siberian language means Magic!
